In the depths of Zanshuyama, the immortal sleeps. Lady Kurogane, the mighty Jorogumo, has long protected the mountain and its people. When she is needed most, when the mountain halls quiver and foes press close around - that is when she will awaken.

...Or so claimed the priests, but after decades of near-constant threat, Lady Kurogane continues to slumber. Her closest followers are starting to have doubts, but what alternatives exist? All they can do is feed prisoners to the sleeping immortal, massage her giant body with oils, and pray for her return.

...Which leaves them more confused when, on a day like any other, Kurogane stirs and begins availing herself of the temple's luxuries. No obvious threats abound, which raises an ominious question:

Is the true threat about to appear?

At the foot of the mountain, three women move purposefully through the mist, closing swiftly on a defenseless village. They lick their lips; their bellies rumble.

Pred vs pred action ensues.
